2010年6月24至27日，第9届国际狼疮学术会议在加拿大的温哥华会议中心（Vancouver Convention Centre）举行。本次会议加拿大关节炎研究中心（Arthritis Research Centre of Canada）承办，有来自美国、加拿大、中国、中国香港、中国台湾、英国、西班牙、意大利、葡萄牙、德国、法国、瑞典、希腊、以色列、哥伦比亚、墨西哥、阿根廷、南非、澳大利亚、印度、韩国、日本等国家和地区的1,500余位狼疮研究者注册参会，其中来自中国的医学专家超过40人。
